Home to some of the richest and most famous people in the world, Hollywood is THE place to make you feel like a celebrity and the hotel we're staying in definitely does!

The hotel we're staying in is the Best Western Sunset Plaza and the pool is possibly the prettiest pool ever, located in a garden with trees with really pretty purple flowers! This hotel has breakfast included, though many of the others we've stayed in throughout this trip didn't. Most American hotels don't include breakfast so it's worth looking extra hard to find one that does. And make sure you're in an area that has lots of restaurants and shops near by. We just tend to visit a supermarket to buy some bread rolls, snacks and croissants.
Our first stop in Hollywood was supermarket 'Trader Joes', which is possibly the American equivalent to Waitrose. We saw a chihuahua in a hat and dress sitting in a shopping trolley! Only in Hollywood! One day we bought some salads and cupcakes and had a picnic by the pool which was delicious and much less stressful than trying to find a restaurant or eating a sandwich on the go!
A trip to Hollywood of course wouldn't be the right without a visit to the celebrity homes. We went on a tour that started near the Walk of Fame and took us up to loads of the stars homes. We saw Katy Perry's house, Justin Timberlake's, Michael Jackson's and a load of others. We drove up to the Hollywood Sign viewing point and had a quick drive celebrity spotting through some of the most exclusive shopping areas in Beverly Hills! We also saw the location of the Oscars and the Golden Globes! The tour was great and took us everywhere we needed to!

On return from our tour, we had bit of a walk up the Walk of Fame and saw lots of famous names we recognised. The Walk of Fame is really long though, and unless you have lots of time to walk up and down, in the heat, it's worth deciding which stars you'd particularly like to see and then google their location so you can pick a section to walk up without having to walk miles! We also saw the El Capitan Theater which is where loads of the movie premieres take place.
Whilst staying at the same hotel in Hollywood we also visited Universal Studios and Disneyland! You can read about Universal here, and Disneyland here! I'd honestly say that 2 days wasn't anywhere near enough time in Hollywood and I'd love to come back and explore more of the different cafes and shops as well as the many famous filming locations in the district. Not only that but we never got to downtown LA! That being said I did hate how busy t was and a lot of it felt fake and not at all authentic as if it was just set up for the tourists. That's why I think exploring downtown LA would be so much better and less touristy.
If you just want to see the highlights and say you've been, 2 days is enough so long as you're happy to keep busy and cram everything in.
